Check tires for thred (not sure on spelling) Tjeck chain, is it loose, you must not be able to push it from side to side, more than a couple of mm. + - 1mm from center. Get plastic gloves and grab hold of chain and now twist it sideways. (Engine is of curse OFF!!!!) Start op the bike, and let it run idle to warn up for a couple of minutes. Listen to the engine, is the idle ok? dose it run smoothly, does it take revs good, and when letting go of throttle, does it also drop revs quickly. Test drive it and while on it tjeck shockabsorbers, they must be firmly and yet soft, when pushed hard suddenly, you can test the brakes at the same time.
Have I forgotten some thing?

Another thought when looking at a bike. Lightly feel the engine to see if it has been pre-warmed before you get to see it. It may run nicely but a real bitc8 to start when cold due to much needed repairs or maintenance.
