Inspired by the website, getting cabin fever. Picked up a auction bike yesterday. They were used for teaching by the state.
Its the perfect project bike, lots of dents and scratches. Going to get a battery, plug, oil, filter, new gas and see what happens.
Hoping my wife takes to riding it, otherwise I will ride it to work to have fun with it and save gas.

Welcome steve-o. Sounds like you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. We will help you with the TLC the bike deserves.
A good addition to your list of parts would be an inline fuel filter and small charger for the battery. A Battery Tender is a wise choice. Also keep in mind the battery must be fully charged before going into service. DIY to be sure or you will likely have a failed battery.

Don't have a battery yet, tough going out of season. Thinking about jumper cables, truck with engine off?
Anyways I just want to turn it over. Dump all the gas, load up the Carb with Carb cleaner and let it sit overnight.
