I found this site while looking for help with my wifes GZ250. The carb was all gummed up and I thought I was gonna have to rebuild it but after looking through this site and a can of seafoam and its all good.
I ride a 94 Suzuki Intruder 800 and the wife has 2002 GZ 250. Thaks for all the info!!

Welcome Trapper. Is your wife new to riding her own bike?

We live in Oil City Pa. My wife bought her GZ250 about 6 or 7 years ago, but has not had much time to ride we had twins 5 yrs ago. She does like her bike but she is talking about going a little bigger in a couple of years. I think I will be using the saefoam in a few more things that I own.

You can basically eliminate the use of Seafoam if you add Stabil at every fill up. I do that with my V-Star, my Dodge Durango (which sits for long periods of time), my boat and all my yard equipment. It preserves the fuel (for up to 2 years - I know from experience :) ) and cleans the system.

I prefer this one, because it looks more retro. That means it works better.

Actually, I just like it because it smells like cherry mint petroleum.
