Oh my. That must have been a hard decision to make. Hope it goes to a good home and is appreciated.
For the folks that don't know, these are great bikes.
Best of luck on the sale and heal quick..

Yeah, it was really tough just taking the pics and thinking about selling her, but I'm probably not going to be able to ride 2 wheels again for another 6 months or more and so I'm considering a trike instead just so I can get back out there riding something again asap. I figure she'll never be in any better condition than right now and it's prime riding season so maybe someone else can enjoy my labor of love. :)

Did you give any thought to a sidecar on the Vulcan ??

That will cost more than the Vulcan is worth, and it would be better to get one already on, with all the bugs worked out as they are tricky to get adjusted correctly.
A trike is a much better idea. Or stay in the car for a while.

Sold the 750 this morning. A local bike shop wanted it. Sad to see it go, I'm "bikeless" now

That is good and bad news. Being bikeless is not the end of the world. BB, you have just started a new chapter in life. Nothing more nothing less. Look forward to healing up from your mishap and finding new adventures with/without a bike.
Yeah, what WW said.
Get well and get going again.

Thanks guys. Yeah, the Surgeon told me I've gotta wait another 6 weeks before I can even start putting any weight on my right leg, and the shoulder is also a way out from being fully functional. So the sell of the bike provides some financial relief and all even though it was kinda sad watching it go off down the road on the trailer. They've agreed that my 500 is "totalled" but they haven't offered me a settlement figure yet, maybe this week. I start "out patient" physical therapy 3 x's per week on Monday for the next 4 weeks. At least that gets me out of the house.
As for future bikes, I'm leaning towards a Vulcan 900 and adding a Trike kit as my next set of wheels. :)

Good luck on your therapy and rehab. I'm hoping you have a 100% recovery and are back to riding soon!

A 3 wheeler Vulcan would be a nice ride. It has enough power to get er done without going overboard. I'm sure your prior experience with custom seats wil be an asset.
