I was on Hwy 5 south, and the traffic was literally crawling. It was like 3-5 mph constantly. That was killing me. After 10 minutes of feathering the clutch to keep creeping along at that speed I could barely feel my left hand. It was numb, and there wasn't anything I could do about it. I couldn't let the clutch out, I couldn't put it into neutral, I couldn't just stop... because everyone was moving - people right behind you, people jumping into every gap, people changing lanes all over the place, and they're all creeping along at 5 mph.

So how do you deal with stop and go traffic like that? I'm thinking maybe next time I'm going to try lane splitting, which is legal here in CA.

I whitelined yesterday for 2 1/2 miles to be exact. My left hand was numb also. Just be careful, i changed my muffler so its loud now, they can actually here me when i rev it. Love it.

That is why I try to stay off the main drags. If it gets bad enou you just have to pull off the side and wait it out.

I would rather take the looooong way around, than sit in traffic.

We don't have that stop and go traffic problem where I live unless there has been an accident up ahead. Instead, it is more likely that I will get boxed in with cars going 60+ mph at rush hour, if I am on certain highways. No numb hand, but increased heart rate.
