My windshield, an OEM Suzuki, is in fare condition and I have been thinking about polishing it. Should I do so?

Make sure you get something specifically made for clear plastics. The other stuff is too abrasive.

You may want to simply wax it and not worry about the polish.... although get something with perhaps a duller finish or something of lesser quality. You don't want any sun glare beaming back into your eyes while you're trying to negotiate a turn.

I've been told Lemon Pledge works well on windshields.

I use lemon pledge. Fantastic, and the bugs come off real easy.

I read about lemon pledge on another thread; now I use it for my entire bike (paint, chrome, saddle, etc.), also on my helmet and faceshield. It works great. I would try it on my windshield, if I had one.

Try the lemon pledge first, it might be all you need.

No problems with the saddle then? I only once tried cleaning the saddle (with a leather cleaner) & it was so slippy that I had to head straight back home & clean off the cleaner.

That would give a whole new meaning to slippin n sliddin. I just leave the seat as is. I might spot clean it with glass cleaner when doing the lights etc but only if it is really grungy.

Don't put Armorall on the saddle. You will find that the little GZ250 has more get up and go than you realized.

Using lemon pledge on the saddle: It makes my saddle shiny, maybe slippery as well, but the Shadow has a deep gunslinger type saddle that keeps me in place, so I haven't noticed if it was slippery. For other bikes, give it a try and see is all I can say.

BTW, only LEMON Pledge works, not the other "flavors" or straight Pledge.
