In Aus' they stopped making the GZ 250 about 2000 or so and replaced it with the "Intruder" "V" Twin series thats why the GZ 250 here is as scarce as hens teeth. If you wanted to start an Aussie version of GZ250.com there'd be about 10 of us hehehehehehehehehehehe.........

Interesting bike. Never knew Suzuki made a V-twin that small. I doubt it would ever make it to North America because the production cost of the engine would make it too pricey. Are they considered expensive down under ??

EVERYTHING IS EXPENSIVE "DOWN UNDER" ....... even considering the now narrowing exchange rate, the Suzuki Intruder 250 "V" Twin is about $AU 7500 ride away. That equates to about $US 6000 for you guys "UP OVER". We look at your ebay and dealership prices and DROOL here.... Unfortunetly for us here our market share is very low so you (with a huge market) have the buying power thus much lower prices (unofficial gripe out of the way hehehehehehe)...

Be good have fun and be safe.. Al'

that looks freaking awesome but what would they accomplish by making it a v-twin instead of what ya call whatever we got

What we have used to be referred to as a "Thumper". I hear the term less and less in recent years.

The V-twin would counter balance itself and run smoother. I think it looks great but for the price point I would go with a some what larger bike.

Don't be surprised to see the GZ go in favor of something like the Intruder. Might not be in 2009, perhaps 2010.
The Yamaha 250 twin is very popular, but does not have the beautiful fatboy look like the GZ 250.
The Hyosung GV250 looks like an interesting bike too.

That's the Hyosung GV250 Aquila. You can get them here in the States for around $4000.
