I finally think I found a reliable source for my GZ250. It is next to impossible to find information on this bike elsewhere! I am fairly new to the biker world, and am definitely new when it comes to engines. Hopefully this place can get me up to par and help me out where I'm confused.
Confused is only a state of mind.
Half the time I don't know what state my mind is in. :)
Welcome, come on in and sit a spell.
This is a small but good group of people with a wealth of information.

Welcome USMC. You have come to the right place. Here are 1500 friendly guys who all have the exact same bike that you do. And everybody has shared their experience, and tips and "Howtos".
There are a few members close to you in your state, so you might have a riding companion or 2.

USMC............. a marine..............thank you for your service. We all do appreciate your dedication and training that keeps the free world FREE. If I remember correctly the U.S. forces have motorcycle training /safety courses available to you.
We can teach you as much as we can and have some fun doing it. Ask any question and we will be more than willing to answer with the best of our ability and experience. The GZ is basically a solid little runner but don't ask it to do anything beyond it's design. It won't leap tall buildings but it will take you to many tall buildings no matter how far away they are.

Back atcha from South Carolina. Thank you for your service. Where abouts are you located? I'm just north of Myrtle Beach in Longs. As WW pointed out, having a safety course is the best way to start off. Don't forget about the rally in May. Ride safe.

Welcome to the club!!! There are no stupid questions. That being said, IF you do something really foolish and admit to it - expect some good natured ribbing.
