I am still up in the air about changing out the front sprocket. I bought one and it's been sitting on the desk for about 2 months. I hear all good here but at the local shop, they say not to do it, saying the factory got it right why change it. The bike is for my wife to learn on and ride around town, she most likely will never go over 50-55 on it. Guys at the local shop showed me a bunch of sprockets both front and rear and said others are always "looking" for the best one and always in time go back to the factory set-up. Please if you are happy with your 16T over the 15, please let me know why. Thanks so much in advance.

I was very happy with the 16t sprocket.Especially around town at lower speeds. It stretches out the lower gears so your not shifting as much.It actually makes 1st & 2nd much more useful,as you can get around a turn in 1st without needing to shift part way through the turn.I done a fair bit of hi-way riding and never once considered shifting back to the 15t.Either way it takes less than 30 minutes to shift back if you don't like it.
:)
I had them both and used each for a different purpose.
Give it a try, as blaine said, switching back is easy.
Do you have a lift or blocks to pick up the rear?
