I have hand adjusted it until it dropped below the actual pin. What else can I do to adjust the idle speed. I think it is idling at about 15000-1800 rpm. Ahh, makes it take off easy but I don't like it. Thanks

Make sure that you have some free play at your throttle & your cables are free. Also is your choke moving freely?

You have to remember I am VERY new at this. I know there are two bolts with a nut on each side, is that what you mean by cables being free? Also, how do I check to make sure the choke is working correctly?

Sorry,I meant free play up at the throttle, you should be able to move the throttle a little without effecting idle.Does the choke feel smooth to operate without binding? There are instructions in the manual on adjusting the throttle. If you don't have one you can download it here:

That should be 1400 - 1500 :)

I do have the manual, the choke action on the left side of the handle bars is working well and free of inconsistencies. I will check the play of the throttle when I get home and see i there are any adjustments I can make on the top side. I did read in one thread that there are a few methods under "performance" that adjust the carb ect. I'm not into that but wonder if they might slow my idle.

Have you unbolted it at the carb, And actually seen that the plunger is working corectly? :)
