I bought the GZ250 for my wife. It is stock with no upgrades yet. My friend is coming down for a visit and wants to ride her bike. She is OK with it but I have a few issues, he is about 260-270 lbs and I am not sure if he is too heavy for the bike and could possibly damage the shocks. Please, any thoughts ???? Thanks in advance

Twist the shocks around to the highest setting.
The GZ will pull him.

He should have no problem. I was 245lbs when I had my GZ and it didn't bother the bike one bit.

If you really don't want him to ride it, you could just tell him it's too small for him and if it got buggered up, your wife would kill you. It's really her bike, and if something happened to it, she'd have to take yours.
By the way, why don't YOU ride your wife's GZ, and let him ride YOUR bike? :poke2:

The other bike is an Ultra Classic...............doubtful that will happen. Letting some one ride your wife's bike is something I did many years ago. Definitely not a great idea. If you don't want some one on the wife's bike just create an issue that keeps the bike at home.
On the plus side, the GZ will carry a load like a little mule and never complain. Check the owners manual for max load.

Ya, well I *cough* might be slightly close to those figures (I put on a little weight over the winter) and the bike takes me on the freeway and up the hills here no problems at all.

Good thought and BTW nobody rides my bike. If my wife was really into it it would no be a problem to tell him no, but in 5 months she has only rode 100 miles..... she really doesn't care, I just didn't want has fat ass to break it.

If he does break or damage her bike, you can bet your wife will break YOUR ass. Make it clear, if he breaks it, he fixes it.
