Leak

It seems something (maybe oil) is leaking down the cylinder head, looks like its coming from spark plug area, or the cap thats infront of spark plug. Cap has 2 bolts holding it on, toward front of motor but near spark plug. Looks like a thin gasket under cap. Ya know what i mean ??

That cap is the cover for adjusting the valves.It is sealed with a O-ring.Just wipe the area down and if you have a leak you will be able to see it.

I did that, and it came back. Without riding it too, wierd.

Pulling the seat and gas tank is less than a 5 minute job.

Take the cover off and check the o ring.

No,not as long as the bike is not running.Nothing will pour out.Also JWR was referring to the valve cover it's self,when said to remove the tank.If your leak is not at the valve inspection cap,than your valve cove is the likely suspect. :) :cool:

Number 21 is the o ring.
