These guys are in NYC and they enjoy riding Vespa scooters. I like the following text:

While mounted on pure steel and rubber, the engine beneath roars with every turn of the throttle. The exhilaration of freedom penetrates your body and possesses your soul. For now, you are in flight!!! With every narrowing and winding turn of each road, there is a feeling of being one. And, although the wind continues to bite at your face with the grit of its teeth, it is also the very reason you continue to journey through the realm of the unknown path of life.
However you choose to ride, there is no better way of doing so than to share it with those who have the common sensation of being on metal with two wheels. And what better way to ride, if not with friends, comrades, amigos. That has become our bond and our belief. We are on a Mission. We are on Scooters. We are the MINI MART MUCHACHOS!!!

I'm not in NYC anymore, I'm feeling really happy I moved down here to NC. I just wanted to share something funny.

My first taste of two wheels, back in 1965, was on old 1959 Lambretta scooter. In those days, in England, the only choice of scooter was Vespa or Lambretta. I still remember the sense of freedom after using the bus all my life.

If you get a chance, watch the movie "Quadrophenia", all about the Mods & Rockers on scooters & bikes, back in the 1960s.[attachment=0:1huoguzn]b25.jpg[/attachment:1huoguzn]

Hi Alan. I haven't seen Quadrophenia, but I heard it has music from The Who, and I'm a fan of rock, and of other types of music. I also heard that Sting , from the Police, has a small part in it. Maybe I can get it on Netflix.

Scooters are a great way to get around. I just wish they required a license for the under 50 cc crowd. There are far too many kids riding with no idea that it isn't really a bicycle.

Back in the 60's I bought a used Lambretta scooter for $20 that I rode all over Brooklyn NY with no plates. I wish I had it now, it would probably be worth $3000 and still be running.

Used Vespas and Lambrettas go for big bucks. In some cases they are far more expensive than a new scooter. I imagine if you want a piece of history and a nostalgic ride you have to pay for it.

The poster is really funny, and the text is like like what we feel when we ride.
Hey, Rookie Rider, maybe you can meet these guys. I think they're in Queens.

In very heavy traffic they will likely show you the way.

That sidecar is so cool. I hope the boy gets to wear a helmet and wears protective gear like his dad.
