I'm seeing that Suzuki sells a nice looking set of GZ bags, for those of you that own them and have the experience what do you think of them overall ? I'm actually thinking about going with "ghost brackets" with my wife's GZ and was just wondering about the OEM bag opinions. Thanks !

You probably won't get your money's worth. There are better choices in the aftermarket. You can easily make your own brackets to keep any bags away from the rear wheel. Just a few bucks and a bit of time involved. A more useful bag would be a textile bag with come compartments for smaller stuff. Lynda had soft textile bags on her GZ and opted for bigger ones when she upgraded to her M-50. Granted a harder leather bag may look better to some folks but a soft bag is more useable and functional. Cortech and Nelson-Rigg make fine bags in all sizes and are quite user friendly. Expandable bags are a big plus in Lynda's opinion.
I have hard aftermarket bags on the Vstrom but I find them too hard to pack a lot of stuff into them sometimes because there is no give to them to gain that extra half inch when needed. The choices are there when you are ready to spend the $.

I too have the soft bags on my GZ. I have the Cortechs and find them very useful . I have the smaller ones but they do have a larger size, both work quite well . CMS
