View Full Version : FYI - 2012 International Motorcycle Show - Chicago,IL
My son and I plan on attending the motorcycle show for the first time this year. It takes place February 10, 11 & 12 2012 in suburban Chicago. There are hundreds of exhibitors including Suzuki. Hours are 5 - 9 pm Friday, 9 - 9 Saturday and 9 - 5 Sunday. You can get particulars including directions at motorcycleshows.com. Weather hereabouts has been in the 40's and 50's, but I wouldn't count on it in February, in Chicago. Looking forward to Spring! :2tup:

Come back in this thread after your visit and share your photos with us.
Hope you guys enjoy it.
I know you'll have a blast!
We attended the show on Sunday, the last day of the show. There were thousands in attendance and hundreds of exhibitors. Seems like all the manufacturers were there with large numbers of their products on display and they had a lot of representative to talk to. It was easy enough to see several helmets and jackets which were two items I was interested in trying on. I bought a jacket for $50 and will see a local supplier for size on a helmet I liked at $75. Some of the "show only" sales were a half to two thirds off name brands. Crowds were friendly and we were able to move around okay but anymore folks would have brought things to a standstill. Admission was $15 and parking was free with a stamped ticket.
All in all, I'm glad we went. They also had riding exhibits going on, some neat collector's items like Indian and other antique motorcycles. Also some souped-up custom jobs and futuristic models... Suzuki had a very nice and complete display of their line located right next to Honda and Duccati with Victory in the background.

Sounds like a good time. Bike shows are a great place to see all the makes and models without going to a bunch of different dealers that are miles apart. The only way to beat a bike show is to find a group of dealers in a common area which I actually did today. Wound up in a Victory dealer with some new old stock on the floor. Had a new 2010 flagship touring model for $10,000 off. One heck of a bike for the $$. Oh yeah, I can dream.
