New tires on. Gotta finish the wiring and headers. Also got some more tabs to grind smooth. And the sissy bar is going to be chromed as well as the pedals and reflector hardware. Paint is last. Soon!

I love that your bike is actually in the house. Before I saw the wooden cover that you put down, I thought you just let your bike urinate wherever it pleased, which would have been awesomely macho. ;)
Keep it up man and post back once that beast is on the road.

Guys! tell me what is the purpose of the bend that is wrapped around the exhaust pipes. I prosume it's a thermo isolation or is it something else too? It kind of looks good to me, i saw that on many bobber bikes and i thought it's isolation, but this one has a bend from the start of exhaust... Thank you for answer!

PimpS, thanks! The wrap is for heat insulation, but on this bike, it's what I call a "go faster". It just makes it look like it goes faster!!! LOL!

I got mine off, using a tin of Zippo lighter fuel to get the sticky off. It didn't harm the paintwork. :2tup:

Rubbing alcohol will also work. Soak a piece of cloth and apply it to the sticker to soften it. The sticker will eventually peel off and you can clean up glue residue with more alcohol.

WD-40 works well too. and maybe a touch of heat gun....but just a touch. A hair dryer would be a safer bet.

Hello Tsmall!
I noticed your bike is a bit lower to eye at least. More beautiful to my eyes... :) Has anyone of you guys changed the settings of back shock absorbers. Bike from stock is set to 3 (out of 5). What is like to drive the bike for example on 1 or 5. First i'll drive it as it is, but i do want to know what are your experinces, when shocks are set to the lowest or highest and will the bike be lower when set to hard shocks?
Thank you guys!

The bike will ride softer & be lower on the "1 setting. The #5 position would be very stiff & the bike would be at it's maximum height. The #1 setting worked well for me as I'm about 150 lbs.If I had a passenger I used the #3 position,so as not to bottom out.
:)

Hey PimpS, I keep them on the full setting for now. Still worried about it being a little too low and get a fender hit. But so far, down bumpy hard packed road, no problems! And it handles great so far as I've been able to run it! And, thank you dieter33! It's a project that keeps going!!!!

Ok, hitting fender is not a good feeling. I'm sure you'll fix it or adjust it the right way! Keep up the good work!

Peter, My friend who happens to be a metalsmith looked at my headlight and proceeded to take a scrap piece of stainless and make me a headlight visor in about ten minutes!

PimpS, I'll ask. It took a little hand fitting, but I think all the headlights on GZ's are the same. And I have a friend in Belgium who we mail stuff back and forth and it's pretty cheap so mailing post to you shouldn't cost that much. Let me see what he can do.

If you want accessories, try googling SPAAN. It's a Spanish company, but your dealer might get them delivered to your part of the world, or they might deliver to you. I've got their engine guard & luggage rack. You can see their catalogue on the internet, or they will send you a copy. :2tup:img049.jpg[/attachment:1rowjp6a]img050.jpg[/attachment:1rowjp6a]
There are also bits & pieces for lots of different bikes, plus bags, lamps, pegs, grips etc, etc.

Thanks Alan, you reminded me on them again... I'll check. I have found some mini windshields for 25 € on some web store here in Slovenija and I'm waiting to get their response if they fit to GZ. I'm just trying to get my bike some of my touch and for some discount price :)
Also i'm a big fan of custom jobs and if it is unique and hand made, with a friendly price or a favour, the best. Here we say a hand washes the other hand...
Take care guys!
