Alan - I saw this and thought of you immediately.
Lots of good ideas here:

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Thanks Cayuse. Seemed a little heavy on the guns as opposed to things like food and shelter, but I suppose if there are zombies you better be prepared. BNot sure I actually got to the "campfire" I might have only read comments. I'll look closer later.

I've been thinking on the wild food thing too. I don't have cable tv anymore but when I watched Survivor a couple of years back I remember one of the rewards was to have some special forces guy make them a meal on food immediately available. There was all sorts of food all around them. Definitely something to know.

Also I never see any zombie decoys being included in any of these survival kits:

I did not read the link but I love what you noticed about survivalism/preparedness. Many have no interest in how to make shelter, find wild food, make cordage or containers, treat ailements or predict weather. It's just lock and load!

Yeah but after you lock and load you take out the guy with all the aforementioned supplies when he least expects it. Problem solved. :hide:

I think you may be assuming the person with the aforementioned supplies is unarmed...... :)

Also, while you might be able take his current supplies, what you really need is his knowledge to gain more because nobody knows how long the zombie revolution might last.

You only read half the sentence. It doesn't matter if he's armed if you take him out when he least expects it.

As for his knowledge...you just keep harvesting those with the supplies.

A well prepared survivalist may just see you as fresh meat for his stew pot. With any luck you will hear the twang of a bow string and feel the arrow for a moment or two.
