Thanks Blaine. Hope to contribute a little in return for knowledge! And I like the company. This community is a good mix of FNG’s and BTDT old timers and everybody in between. I like there are people from all over the world that have the same bike and can share ideas. I really never thought something like this little GZ would get me to where I’ve gone with it.

I had my G.Z 3 1/2 years.Rode it 30000 km in that time and never once did it leave me on the road. When I sold it with 45000 km on the clock,it still ran the same as the day I bought it.I wasn't struck on selling, but a lady made a offer I couldn't refuse.I still miss her once in awhile.

The GZ will not run with the big dogs but it will run and run and run just like an Energizer Bunny.

Water Warrior, I got a few other things that will run fast. This GZ is more of a "what I can do?" The bike started at 30 F Sunday morning! One minute later, it was moving. Can't complain about that. I'm looking for more dependability than speed. You're correct in that I don't see much that can be done performance wise other than trimming weight from it instead of trying to do horsepower. And it's cheaper to put it on a diet than try to go into the drive train. Damn, it's a fun bike. I think the kiddo will like it too!
