Hello everyone! My wife and I are the ones who bought Dupo's GZ250 years ago.
I have some crazy updates for you on the GZ's new role.
The wife has been riding it for quite sometime now and is FINALLY ready (she thinks) for a bigger bike.
In the mean time, our 12 year old son started drag racing at the local motorcycle club (Reading Motorcycle Club)
He started the year on a 70cc honda dirt bike but recently we realized that he was FAR too big for that bike and thought why not put him on the GZ!!?
So we got him on it practicing about five separate times down at our club and he progressed very quickly. His first race on it was on Sept. 25th and he took home 3rd place!!
That was our last points race for the year and the following Saturday we had our year end "Rumble in the Valley" event that marks the end of the drag racing season. In that race he brought home 4th. Very respectful places considering he's 12!
I have a youtube channel set up to view some of the practice sessions we did if anyone wants to look at them. My user name on youtube is 350cidfirebird
Check it out
When I figure out how to post pictures on here I'll put some up.
Thanks!!!

That is neat. Racing in a controlled environment is the only way to go.

Sounds like a fun time for the whole family. Your son will learn about drag racing and challenges from personal experience in a proper environment with supervision and rules to adhere to.

Any bikes on the short list for mom to move up to??
