I am pretty sure there is paint available to adher to a flexing metal coil but I have no experience with it. I'm a rattle can and no moving parts kinda guy.

yeah i got spray paint but i dont want to paint the whole thing. Cant figure it out. Looks like i can twist it forever then maybe it would come out, but i dont want to attempt it and have it not be equal with the other side

Not too sure if you can remove the springs without a lot of effort and equipment. This may be one mod to pass up.

You can't remove the spring from the shock without ruining the whole assembly :) .

I didnt paint it but when putting it back on was rough. Seemed like it was just a little to low to hook into hole so i kept twisting the shock thinking it would change hight to reach to hook on as normal. But after a few tries it hit me, I lifted up the back of bike and told my wife to slip it on and BINGO, it went on Not sure if the twisting did anything to the shock like made it harder or softer ride.

The twisting would not change you ride settings. The shock needs to be attached at both ends,to be able to move the adjustment.
:rawk: :)

Are you talking about the 5 settings the bike has on the rear suspension? And how do you adjust that anyway? Mine is on the 5th setting.

Just get a screwdriver. Push it in the hole, & twist the whole thing until it locates under the semicircular cutout that you want. Remember to do BOTH sides equally. Time taken - 2 seconds each side. Then go for a ride (taking the screwdriver with you). If it doesn't feel right, pull over to a safe place & try the next notch. :2tup:

Yep.Make sure whatever you use, that it fits in the hole snugly,as it takes a bit of pressure to turn it.

And don't freak out when it goes "BANG-OING!!" as it falls into the next position.

Going from 5 back to 1 is fun. Have your wife video your face the first time you do it ;)
