I ran across this site while researching the GZ250 and decided to join. I just thought I'd say hello.
Over the years I have owned and ridden all sorts of different sized and types of bikes. While bigger and more powerful was always fun for the first few days, as soon as the new wore off the bike wasn't as much fun and I was looking for a new bigger bike that was fun. I have run the bike size gauntlet a couple of times and am back to small for the third time (takes me a while to learn). I have finally figured out that small is always fun and the acceleration rush that comes with more power only last a few twists of the throttle.
My wife and I have been riding 50cc scooters (Metropolitan and Ruckus) now for 2 1/2 years and have been having a ball moped touring out to 150 miles (one way) on weekends, but would like a bit more speed and range (I'd kill for a old 110cc Honda or Trail 90 LOL). It has taken me a while but I have finally been able to try all the small bikes available around here,(Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Suzuki) and have decided even though it is bigger than I really want, the GZ250 is going to be about as close as I can get to what I want. Now all I have to do is talk the Boss into loosening the purse strings.
So hello to all, I'm looking forward to all your interesting posts.
