Any Aimee Mann fans? She did most of the soundtrack for Magnolia back in the day, and even further back was in Til Tuesday. She's also had some small roles in movies and TV. "Voices Carry" was probably her biggest hit. "Save Me" off of Magnolia also did well.
I asked her about doing soundtracks, and The Big Lebowski and some other stuff here: http://ocmusicscene.com/?p=1702

Another fine read. Thanks Alan.
Hey Alan,
I just wanted to say how much I really enjoy reading your interviews. Wow how interesting to be able to meet and talk to all these artists. You have a real knack for asking insightful questions and bringing out the "real" person. Like their music or in some cases not so much, I've found something interesting or at least entertaining in every one. Please keep sharing :rawk:

Wow, thanks Way! Glad you liked them. I don't always get to meet the subjects, most of the time we talk on the phone. But it has been interesting to talk to established musicians and learn some of the secrets to their success.
You can find a complete list of the ones I've done so far here: http://alanmarkcorcoran.com/blog/interviews/
I just posted one for Carl St. Clair, conductor of the Pacific Symphony and we'll probably post one I did with RK Follese of Hot Chelle Rae tomorrow.
