Looking to buy an after market tail pipe. Something like a bolt on. I am looking to have a pipe that doesn't hit saddle bags, and one that makes the bike sound... a little louder. That or hum differently. It sounds a little lawnmowerish / sewingmachine-ish. I have a 2007 GZ250.

@Suncross
www.nichecycle.com (http://www.nichecycle.com) I bought the muffler there - delivery was fast, but I still have to pick up the pipe, so can't say much about the quality.
@geezer
I'm so with you on messing with an exhaust, carb, jet, filter. It's a bitch to tune it up, it took me a day or so to get what I wanted and that was without a muffler ...
Hmm weird. When i did my muffler swap i had no issues with the idle or how it ran. Little backfiring here and there but other than that ... it ran fine after adjusting the mixture. Was never a need to mess with the idle.

Same here.My bike actually idled much better,mostly because of the idle mixture adjustment.My bike had been running so lean that it would not keep a constant idle,or start easily in cold weather.After a mixture adjustment,both problems solved,and this was before I changed exhaust.

What model #'s of mufflers did you guys put on your bikes? That way I don't put on the wrong one and get the bad experience some people are getting by making a change.
Some of the websites are too vague on what bikes their mufflers will fit.
Thanks

1. You will need a muffler with reducers. Requirements are that it can fit on a 1 3/8" pipe (usually the smallest reducer). EMGO makes several of these. You can find them HERE or HERE They MUST fit 1 3/8" exhaust and i recommend 19" in length. The EMGO Turnout muffler is what i used.

i might have installed the wrong size main jet or moved the needle a bit to much, al i know is it gets even worse when its humid. and then there was that one time it was hard to start one day. hmm i dont know, but a plug chop will make thingsperfect.

@Dupo. Im putting exactly the same bike as in your mod
I wanted to have everything being just perfect, so I took my time, but 130 Jet was just fine! - i'm running extremely rich though! (It's not a complain, just a fact). Also for starters I put a couple of washers to shim the needle so my bike behaved weirdly - it had a very good response from 40-85 km/h, but other than that - brrrr.....
