Gold Wing Air Bag.

A friend was telling me about the remains of a Gold Wing he saw while getting a new tire installed during a recent trip. A Wing rider broad sided a truck that pulled out from a stop sign on a highway. The entire front end of the bike folded in and destroyed the engine of the Wing. The air bag deployed and prevented the rider from going over the bars and suffering massive injuries at highway speeds. The only injury to the rider was a sprained ankle and he walked away. Obviously an air bag works even on bikes.

My mate Bob, in Australia, has just swapped his 1700 Kawasaki for an 1800 Goldwing with the airbag etc. He reckons it's a much better seating position than the 1500 Goldwing he used to have.[attachment=1:3hgfotdv]BMW dash.jpg[/attachment:3hgfotdv]
