ok i have just got done adding an emgo muffler and a filtro air filter to my 99. i shimed the needle a tad more than what the washer we all just flip over would let me and moved up to a 136 mainjet. my idle mixuture screw is at 2 3/4 turns. ever sence owning the bike i have had instant starting everytime, cold or hot, choke or no choke. well after work it was in the high 90's and it took quite awhile to start. i say to myself, ok better report this to the forum and go on my way. down the road at a light i forget im in gear and let go of the clutch and bam i kill her. go to start it and its very sluggish, you could feel and hear it barly chug that cylnder. so i belive im jetted to rich for this warm weather. i might just turn down the mixture screw and go back down on my needle and main. what do you all think? before i forget i needto check my spark plug and see if its black

It sounds like you may need to shim your needle a little more. You need to determine if you are running lean at all throttle openings, or just at low, mid range,or wide open throttle. My guess would be mid range.

you woulnt think that would effect starting thou. but i have plans to do a plug chop and thats the best way possible minus an actual o2 sensor.
