hi all

in my other thread (i'm starting to wonder) i posted a picture of the evpo canister. looking at the parts manual its supposed to have a cushion and a cap on the end. needless to say they are gone you can look at the other post at a poor picture of it. does anybody know what this does and do i need to buy a cushion and a cap ?

In a nutshell, the vapor canister was designed to "catch" the fuel vapors when the engine is turned off and just sitting there, so the next time the bike starts it sucks them back into the engine and uses them.
it is an "emissions" thing. Most of the G.Z.s don't have them.I suggest removing the canister & blocking any vacuum lines,as it is not needed.
