yesterday i decided to ride to south beach and the gz wont do good on the highways so i decided to take the A1A it is right along the coast about 50ft away from the water most of the way and that is where the rich people live in there million dollar mansion. but anyways i started at palm beach and finished in south beach miami it is a very relaxing ride 35mph speed limit so the GZ wasnt being pushed hard at all and there is almost no stoplights or traffic until FT Lauderdale beach is when i got caught up in some traffic but not very much. ft lauderdale beach is really nice i didnt stop and walk around or go swimming but i do plan on it for my next ride. and there is a bridge that goes from the island to the mainland and right there is the port for the cruise ships and when i seen the size of those "royal carribean" ships i almost shit my self one was probably 50 or 60 stories high. once through lauderdale the traffic calms down and its open road cruising again for about 20 miles then i ran into the miami traffic those are some crazy driving mofo right :fu: there good thing i have good awarness and got the hell out of the way  after about an hour of sittin in traffic and only got about 3 blocks i decided to just park and walk around. miami beach is so nice and there is alot of bars and clubs and some girls walking around with basically nothing on :2tup:. the way back was the same route but it was getting dark so the traffic wasnt that bad.

here is the map of the route

Wandering along the coast at a reasonable speed is what the GZ excells at.

Sounds like a great ride, especially the no stoplights or traffic part.

It's been almost 10 years since I've been there but I love cruising A1A in the Ft Lauderdale area. The beaches are so lovely and, as you said, the cruise ships are amazing.
