Being predominantly a Catholic country, the churches love a parade. Being Easter week gives them the biggest chance of the year for several. As it's Good Friday, there's two processions today. This is the midday one.
The roads are closed, with police holding up the traffic behind the procession.SDC10360.JPG[/attachment:1hu089oo]SDC10345.JPG[/attachment:1hu089oo]SDC10348.JPG[/attachment:1hu089oo]SDC10351.JPG[/attachment:1hu089oo]SDC10353.JPG[/attachment:1hu089oo]

Are you right on the coast?
We're on the north of the island (opposite end to the tourist resorts) about a 15 minute ride from the coast, although, from our patio, we can see right down to Puerto de la Cruz (the port of the cross) we're up in the mountains, amongst the vineyards & vegetable fields. :)

That just sounds so dang nice. I really wish I could come visit and enjoy the tranquility you must have there.

BB, I actually did a map view walk around of Alantf's island last year. It is a very nice place to venture about and enjoy the colors.

What a cute little town...
For anyone who's interested..........Go to Google Earth, then enter " La Perdoma, Tenerife". If you click on the little cameras, there's some excellent views of our village. :2tup:
