I bought a gz250 a week ago and it looked fantastic condition.
However 4 days later, I was warming up my bike in the morning to go to school.
All of sudden, It had laud POP sound and stop running.
and I ask closest workshop to come and pick it up.
after their diagnostic, the engine is lock up and need new piston and cylinder to fix.
and the engine was opened before.
But they said l'd better get a reasonable used engine or used piston and cylinder.
I was so unhappy to hear that and hate the previews owner.
So guys Is there any other idea for me?

Not sure what you paid for it, but, unless you locate and replace the engine yourself and your time is worth little to nothing, it usually is not worth it to replace the engine on a GZ250. There are a few folks on here that have done it, but just as many end up parting out the rest of the bike. Perhaps you could negotiate a partial refund with the previous owner?

If you are mechanically minded and enjoy wrenching...

There's a post on here for a bike that was rear-ended, the engine might still be good - the and piston probably are - but there was another guy with an almost identical story to yours looking for an engine so you might need to act fast.

Good luck- Sorry your purchase turned out so poorly. BTW, you don't really need to warm up the bike if you use the choke.

Did you ever check the oil level before you ran it? These things don't usually "break" without a good reason, like neglect or overheating. It's not a good idea to leave it running at idle for prolonged periods, both because of poor oil circulation, low charging ability, and poor air flow around the engine when it's just sitting.
You use the choke to start it, let it run for maybe 30sec .to make sure it runs, then ride off, turning the choke down as the engine warms up as you ride.
