I'm a couple of days and a persuasive speech away from being back on two wheels.

We found out we are 9 weeks pregnant about 3 weeks ago. For those in the know, I've been driving a '91 Geo Metro Convertible for a while and in order to be able to do anything with my family, which now includes a wife a 3 year old a mother-in-law and a soon-to-be new born, I'm going to need more than 2 seats to be able to do anything at all.

So, while in pursuit of a mini-van (I don't need your comments :) ) I'm selling my Metro.

Long story short, I found a guy in Chattanooga willing to trade me his Kawasaki Eliminator 125 plus $400 for my little convertible.

I'll be able to ride back and forth to work during the week to save gas and if there is any need to all pile into a vehicle for road trips, we'll have it.

Woot!

I almost bought one just before I bought the GZ way back when...

I remember it feeling little. But that was more an issue with the seat height than anything else.
For around town riding with gas mileage in mind, I don't think anything can beat it.

It's going to be hard giving up the Geo since it gets 40 mpg. But the Kawi, with supposedly 90 mpg a possibility, will be a nice trade off.

Nice clean looking bike and it's a motorcycle, not another scooter.
What year is that?
Now you have to rebuy all the gear you sold?

The bike is a 2006.

I still have a helmet and a leather jacket. Although I may pick up a mesh riding jacket to go with it.

I don't think I'll need to do much haggling with the wife. Since she gets to keep her Jeep Liberty and I'm taking on the van, I think I have some bargaining power. :) May even be able to talk her into paying for part of the van...

Congratulations on the soon to be new arrival, both from your wife and the trade in for the motorcycle.
