got this back in june and did a bit before i got caught up in school work(im 17). hopfully i get a chance to work on it over the march break. planing on adding drag bars, manufacture a new exhuast, chop the fenders, repaint, and replace/re-locate the turn signals. any ideas what i should paint on it this time? and if any one knows of some good techiques of how to properly apply spray paint leave a comment. i did a real bad job on the one i did.

Ok, that's pretty cool. Course mine was black and silver from the factory so I saved some time...

Did you extend the fork or does it just look that way? Also - I like the tires - new?

Anything that you paint on the tank needs to be professional clear coated,or with a 2 part aerosol spray called "Spray max" that you can order on line.Any over the counter spray paint or clear coat is not hard enough to withstand a gas spill.
:)

oh and blaine you could have not been more right. spilled some gas on it at the end of the season and left a nasty stain. thanks for the tip and going to search that right now.

Nah, I actually meant the tires. They look a lot newer and grippier than mine. My GZ wiggles like crazy on grooved pavement - perhaps with that rubber it'd be smoother.

The original tires on Lynda's bike had grooves around them so they could track rain grooves with less difficulty. Scares the crap outta yah but just let the bike do it's dance and stay loose.
Different tires on the Vstrom made the dance go away almost completely. I never even consider a rain groove or long pavement crack a thing to worry about. In fact I search them out just for fun. Tar snakes are a different story.

OK Now I am having a hard time deciding on what I want to do next to the ole geezer... Those pictures are pretty nice and I am liking how it looks without to many changes...
