Hello,

I'm in need of replacing the battery bolts and noticed that bikebandit has some made by Yuasa. But don't know the correct size. Does anyone know if Is it 6 x 10mm or 5 x 14 mm?

Welcome.I have two batteries sitting here, both have 5-14mm bolts.Would be quicker, easier & cheaper to take one of the old bolts and head for your local hardware store.

Yep, works for me. My only concern was finding some that were corrosion resistant, but probably Lowes would have something that worked as well and cheaper.Thanks.

I don't think that bolts that are not corrosion resistant would make a big difference . (didn't even think they were resistant)

If you want to prevent rust or corrosion on the bolts just coat them with some vaseline or grease.

Years ago when batteries were vented the corrosion factor was an ugly fact of life. We used to put a penny near each battery post and it would act like a corrosion sponge.

The best way to get rid of the corrosion (the white, powdery, residue) is simply to pour boiling water on it. This also helps dilute the acidic content of the residue. Had to do this just last week on my daughter's car. Then smeared the posts with vaseline.

A mixture of baking soda & water will neutralize the acid,so it doesn't corrode anything when it is flushed away.
