Assuming a 50cc Peugeot doesn't count (approx. '75), it'd be my '08 GZ250! The Peugeot was good for 40-45 mph and did not require a driver's license, helmet or insurance at the time. Although I did manage to get a ticket for going the wrong way (on the sidewalk, no less) on a one way. Got stolen and I replaced it with a less elegant American model. I don't remember what happened to that.

Honda 305 Superhawk - bought used in Iowa City, Iowa, in 1973 or 74, rode it there for about a year back and forth to work during the periods of nice weather.

1954 Harley Davidson 165cc Hummer 2 stroke single. It was good for 50 mph on a good day. I bought it for $110.00 at the Buffalo NY Harley dealership. It was 1963, and I was 16. No special license required, no training program in existence, and no one that I knew wore any safety gear. Different time for sure.

'65 Honda CT200 Trail 90. Back in the early 70's Dad used it for hunting; me and my brother putted around the yard on it. Of course, almost ran it straight into a tree while showing off. Mom went over the handlebars trying some off-road stuff. I'm just glad nobody got their feet tangled up in the spokes, or that enormous dual sprocket!

Firsts:
Bike: A bicycle when I was around 7 years old, a long time ago.
Motorized bike: Solex, when I was 14 or 15. Even longer ago.

I had to look up Solex to see what it looked like:

Yeah assuming mopeds dont count, my first bike was an Aprillia RS 50, followed by a Suzuki TS 50, then my 1988 Kawasaki KMX 200, Yamaha Virago 250, my dearly departed XV 535 and finally my 250 Marauder.
