In choosing what type of helmet to buy (and wear) - full face, open face, half helmet (aka brain bucket, beanie, etc,), you might want to consider this -

The info appears to be from Germany so they could be monitoring several countries. No matter how you slice it a full face or modular is the only way to ride. I would hate to mess up my hard earned unshaven look doing a face plant.

Yes, those chin hits seem to be the most common. I have a nice Vega modular full face for late Fall, Winter and early Spring but you just can't wear it here in the summer as it's too darn hot. I wear a 3/4 with shield during the summer.

I wear a 3/4 with shield during the summer.Too hot in SC? I wonder what I will have to wear in TX to stay reasonably cool.

The statistics are correct! Thats why they call them skid lids! Go full face, here is a prime example why.
