Why hello

My name is Serena and I will take the MSF beginners course in a few days. I have been eagerly anticipating passing and getting a GZ250 to start my motorcycling life on! If only TU250's were sold in Cali I'd get one of those too.

Not too many show up on craigslist though, I'm hoping they're all just hiding and if I make a Wanted ad they'll show up.

Hi Serena, and welcome!
I sure wish you lived in NY because I currently have my super lovely 2007 GZ 250 for sale on Craigslist! :)
I think you'll find the GZ to be a wonderful bike to learn on...you just can't go wrong! You're so smart to take the MSF class.
Good luck to you as you begin your new motorcycling life! :2tup:

VanillaR,

I have a lovely 2008 in Anaheim, if you are interested. A little more than 4K on her, bags, windshield, passenger backrest/luggage rack. Well maintained, runs great, never dropped. One owner. Silver. (Bought a bigger bike and now I want to buy [another] bigger bike. Can't ride/insure/maintain/park all three.)

PM if you want it.

Thanks for all the welcomes! And Alan, if Anaheim wasn't a good 6 hours away I'd definitely be interested.

Where you at? I might be persuaded to deliver it... I've ridden my other bike as far north as Mendocino - but, then again, that was my other bike. Might be too long in the Geezer saddle.

Rode my Strat over your bridge a month ago and, pulled the toy hauler over it twice last weekend. Coulda dropped off the Geezer had the timing been better... maybe you saw this photo of the 80West/580East I posted:

I think there's a lot of bikes for sale right now at pretty good prices, but if you have your heart set on a Geezer and you can't find one to your liking, mine is in excellent condition. I won't sell it for some of the rediculous prices I've seen ($1100, etc.) but I'd probably let it go at whatever the market is in CA. My kids live in Davis and Monterrey so I'd have some other excuses to maybe trailer it up there.
