I have a retarded GPS that must be related to those signs.

The first time I ran into this weirdness I was on the bike (GPS-less) and got very disoriented - thinking I was somehow headed EAST on the 80 when I shoould have been headed west (well, NORTH really, or at least northwest) on the 580 and I got off at the next exit to check where (the eff) I was going. Discovered a nice alternative route through the hills (of Walnut Creek?), then the 680, and then some 25 and, ultimately, back to the effing 580 (!%&^$) This time, I was armed with my prior experience and did not let the crazy signage put me off track. This was the only combo sign east (or west) bound I spotted and I had to snap it one handed through the windshield.

One of the crazy things we get over here is, when approaching a traffic roundabout in unknown territory, there'll be a sign with a diagram of a roundabout showing four exits, and where they lead to. When you get to the roundabout you'll find six exits, and no signs. Then it's ""eeny meemy miny mo ......" Because the other two don't go anywhere "interesting" they don't think there's any need to mention them, so they leave you to work out which the two "odd ones" are.

Those signs are actually kind of weird but we have them here quite a bit in the Greater Vancouver Region. Basically they tell you to keep going until you get to the next sign/signs to determine left/right or straight ahead for your destination.
As for my GPS it is sooooooooooooo stupid it is frustrating. Point "A" to Point "B" should be no problem. Well maybe it would help to have a bridge over that large body of water. I need an Amphicar to cross the shipping lanes.

Alantf, just think of the new places you would never get to see otherwise. Just look forward to getting lost and exploring.
