Went for a little ride up to Whistler this afternoon and got a pleasant surprise. Strolling towards the common area with all the food services in search of a coffee and this is what I saw and heard. U.S. Marines putting on a show for everyone in within hearing distance.sept 9-2010 009.JPG[/attachment:29uyfahr]sept 9-2010 009.JPG[/attachment:29uyfahr]

I'll guess at 30/35 miles. Just a nice little ride for a coffee. Not just ski country though. We have almost everything imaginable here along the Sea to Sky corridor from Vancouver to Whistler. Kayaking, sailing, wind surfing, golfing of course, mountain biking, mountain climbing, rock climbing, air rescue services if you goof up, hang gliding, crashing hang gliders into rock walls. Fishing, Eagle watching, photography,
It is not uncommon to see a bike go by with golf clubs and a fishing rod on the back. Or a mountain bike on the back. Even saw a motorcycle towing a canoe full of camping gear.
But do come for the skiing, some really great slopes.
