It might help if you gave a clue about the asking price, and also you might get a little more interest with some more information about it. Tires, brakes, oil changes, other maintenance?

I am asking 1800 dollars. I have changed the oil 3 times since I got it in june. I put less then 600 miles on it since I bought it. Cleaned the chain twice. Everything works, and comes with a windsheild.

Why 3 oil changes in 600 miles? :??:

because you can never change the oil too much, I love to keep my bike extra clean and extra taken care of.

Becca, I do applaud your need to keep the oil clean and fresh but please don't do it on your next bike. You stand a good chance of wearing out/stripping the plug threads in the engine casing. Most bikes have a short interval for oil changes to begin with. Following the manual with a good quality oil is all that is needed to keep it happy and healthy.

also, I changed it so much because when I bought it, it was sitting for a year and they didnt change the oil so I had to flush out the engine.

That was an excellant idea. And the wrenching experience is good too.

Can't say as how I like that attitude. I firmly believe in the old saying "do unto others as you would wish them to do unto you" Still, if you put making an extra few bucks above integrity, then I'm truly sorry for you.

There are a lot of people around the world who would agree with you but for better or worse, that's what the American Capitalist system has evolved into. Charge whatever the market will bear......even if it has no real relationship to the intrinsic worth of the product......or the cost of production.
Advertising is good; "marketing" is evil.

Great choice for an upgrade. Not too big and not too small. Time for that 1st oil change and filter now. Enjoy and post some opinions about the bike after a few rides.

Is it RED ???
You won't be disappointed.
Keep the idle speed up where it belongs; that will make it easier to get used to the different gearing of the 4 speed.
Don't go out in traffic until you DO get used to the different clutch feel.
Like the GZ, you will probably need to keep a little choke ON until it warms up.
Unlike the GZ (and a lot of other bikes), you can shift down to 1st just a little earlier because of the higher gearing.
In addition to the other routine maintenance stuff, put some B12 in the gas.
I'll save the bad news for later !!

Becca, try this site. Mustang Seats (http://www.mustangseats.com/Categories.aspx?intCategoryID=8&Category-Name=Seats&reset=true%27). They ain't cheap, but they are comfy. I've had several over the years, and they are the best (IMHO).

I couldn't do more than about 60 miles before serious numbbutt set in. After 300 I was not enjoying it.

The only ready-made replacement seat I could find was from Mustang....but it's VERY expensive, like close to $300 new.
I didn't find it much different comfort wise than the stock one and I'm not sure it's worth the cost.
I think my $80 sheepskin gel pad helped more than the seat change.
Given the (apparently) limited choices for that particular model, I'd suggest you give the stock seat a little more time.....while searching options and maybe looking for a local "seat expert" who does custom mods.

Way to go beccagz250. But now you will have to change your "handle" on the forum to something like beccaHonda600Shadow or something. :)
