This is my first bike and today was my first ride. I enjoyed the ride despite the 44c temperature. That's 111.2 in fahrenheit.[attachment=1:1v60w4wo]My 2003 GZ250.jpg[/attachment:1v60w4wo]

Welcome aboard. Ride safe and keep the shiney side up. I just noticed....you have a big jet sticking out of you seat! Now THAT must be uncomfortable.

Wait a minute - you're saying that it was 111ยบ in Canada? Really? I had no idea it got that hot up there! Are you sure about that temp reading....? I am in Phoenix, Arizona, and that is a common - even cool (Lol) - temp for us in the summer. But in Canada...?

Hey there WW.... I knew you guys got above freezing up there, but I had no idea it got into the 110's. I thought those temps were reserved for just us "desert dwellers", ya' know? Somehow, I feel a little part of me has died knowing that it gets that hot in Canada too! :poorbaby:

LOL!

Kev, do a little research and you will find some hot spots in Alaska. Just keep in mind that the days are longer in the summer and results in more heating. We also get a much longer twilight in the evening that you would envy. The climate here in Squamish is ideal for just about anyone for any purpose.
Just a little out of date trivia for you. Back in the 70's within a 25 mile radius of Edmonton Alberta there was the greatest temp changes from winter to summer in the world. That's a lot of body adjustment every year after year after year. Really too much variation for me but I did call it home for 60 years.
