Hey everyone! Just purchased my GZ250 this afternoon ! I live in the Chicagoland area and have never owned a bike before. I look forward to getting to know you guys and learning to ride my new bike! My Bike is 2009 (brand new still) GZ250 all Black and only 3 miles on the odometer! I will post some pictures soon! Thanks for letting me introduce myself and safe riding!

Did you take it out in the thunderstorms/possible tornadoes today? Welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard. The first thing you should invest in now is the MSF BRC (Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Riders Course). This way you start out with good habits. Invest in some good gear that you will wear. Good luck and ride safe.

I live in the Chicagoland area

Welcome.
Seems like we now have several users from Northern Illinois.
We need to arrange a meet somewhere like Joliet or Kankakee.

Welcome to the forum! A brand new '09 with only 3 miles hunh? Sweet! I was checking one of those out at the local Suzuki dealer here in Phoenix - very nice. Congrats! I'm sure you will find this forum to be a very valuable source of information for all things GZ - I sure have.

Ride safe, and enjoy that new bike! :2tup:

Welcome. There is nothing like that new bike smell.
Besides the suggestions for real riding gear and training, spend a few bucks on "Proficient Motorcycling" by Hough. Probably the cheapest training aid for safe riding and will ensure your riding pleasure and experience.

Welcome to the forum D. and have fun on your brand new bike ! :2tup:

Don't forget to take it easy with it in the beginning. :rawk:

I don't know Chicagoland except for the airport (O'Hare?) and a famous TV series about an excellent philosopher, he was a shoe salesman too and in the series he had a gorgeous daughter played by a Christina Applegate, as far as I remember.

Welcome aboard DroidHoff. You are at the right place for anything you need with your GZ250. Great people here, very friendly and very good to get info from on your bike. Chicago and a new bike, man talk about on the job learning. Be safe and wear stuff that you can be easily seen by other drivers. You may want to think about the rider course the others were talking about. Ride Safe. GZ Brian
