New member here. I guess this should have been my first post.

Not a GZ250 owner yet due to severe lack of funds but I will be next March. I found this forum during my search for 250cc bike information and after visiting my local powersports dealer I decided the GZ250 is for me. I liked that the Honda Rebel is a twin, but it is just too small for me.

This seems like a friendly forum and I am looking foreword to being a part of it, especially after I was banned from an automotive forum I was a member of for many years.

I purchased a car from a member of the forum, a member who I had known for a couple of years and had met up with on occasion.

On the way home, the shifter started popping out of 5th gear. 2 weeks later the entire transaxle locked up and I had to install a new clutch and transmission.

I wanted it known that this individual had sold me a bum car but he was personal friends with the moderation staff.

Welcome aboard! If you haven't already, I'd recommend the MSF BRC course as a starting point even if you are already experienced.

For sure. I am registered for a 2 week class later this summer. I don't want to die.

Welcome to the forum! I am new here myself, and I can honeslty say this site is awesome for anyone who owns, or in your case plans to, a GZ250. It is a great little bike, and I am loving mine.

Do yourself a favor, and always wear protective gear when riding (helmet, jacket, boots, etc). I dumped a bike at 45mph a while back, and the asphalt didn't care that I looked "really cool" - it tore me up! And let me tell ya' road rash sucks!

Ride safe and enjoy that new bike when you get it. Be sure to post pics when you do.
