I can tell you that on Bikebandit a new one is $304.00, I think I would be figuring out what was wrong with my bike (or buy a used carb) before I went shelling out that kind of money on a carb, but that is just my opinion.

When I take the old carb off and clean the jets what do you think of this kit...Are they worth the money..

Not worth the money IMHO.It will cost you nothing to shim the needle jet,or adjust idle jet.A bigger main jet is worth 2 dollars at most. But the kit is still much cheaper than a new carb.To each his own. :rawk: :)

Think about it like this Swistech, even if you get the maximum of 10% horsepower gain that they claim on that kit (keep in mind that the maximum requires you to mod your exhaust/air intake, so you are talking about even more money and wrench time), with all that, that HUGE 10% gain that you are getting, only ends up being about 1.5 to 2 horsepower, and that is if you get the maximum gain possible that they claim.

So you tell us, is it worth it?

I guess it's not worth it....Music Man how much is the carb?

O.k, why did you post just that part of that?

And why did part of the quote come from my post in a DIFFERENT thread......or from a post that has dissappeared from THIS thread ???

Most confusing.

I think he took that one little excerpt of your post to mean that you were saying that he shouldn't trust me, like I was going to rip him off type of not trust me. That is what it seems like to me, I don't know, maybe he will get on here later and straighten it out, or maybe he won't buy it now, oh well who knows.

And the reason he moved it from a different thread, is because both threads were about the same thing, him wanting a carb, and saying he was going to buy mine and put that carb kit in it.

If he dont get it let us know. I might myself for the same reason you got the other one. To tinker with it and learn on it without having to pull anything off my bike and worry about messing something up.

Hey everybody don't get your panties in a twist......I had an emergency at my company. An employee was hurt during a fire that started in one of the machines..........
I was a bit leary of the comment Easyrider made about Musicman and I knew what I posted would bring controversy. Alls well that ends well.
But the good news is that I used the ole' hit the carb with a screw driver and it worked.... it is runnung fine now. So if ncff07 needs it more than I do then be my guest. I am off to hit the road for a couple of hours because I need to get my biker fix...the saga continues....

The comment I made about MM was intended as a compliment; can't imagine why it was taken otherwise. Sometimes I guess some of us just have our briefs pulled up too tight.
