Hello, new member here.
I am looking for a GZ250 near Detroit, Michigan. No wrecks, nothing that's been dropped, and I won't pay a new bike price for used.
Thank you, and I look foreword to being a part of this forum.

:2tup: Welcome to the forum.
Did you check craigslist ? There seem to be a couple available around Detroit.
Tips:
1) Search for "gz 250" as well as "gz250".
2) Being a "beginner's bike", they often do get dropped. But, these bikes are quite sturdy and for low speed drops, the damage is just cosmetic, so I'd use that to knock of a few hundred off the price.

Thank you for the kind advice. You even took your own time and searched craigslist. Posts like this are the reason I joined this forum after lurking for a while. Thank you.
I have briefly checked craigslist, and in my opinion, most of the prices are on the high side. Michigan's backed-up-toilet of an economy has caused many people to inflate the value of what they are selling to offset financial hardship. Some dealers here are offering new bikes for not much more than many private individuals want for their used bike.
I have decided that a GZ250 is the bike for me but the price has to be right. I work at a low wage job (it is the best I can find) and I have a wife to support.
As far as dropped bikes, I am very cautious about that. I have owned three used cars in my life (again never new, the best I can afford) and have regretted every purchase. I would not like to have the same thing happen here.

finding a fair bike is easy than finding a fair person (seller).
good luck
