Hi everyone! Thanks for all the great info posted up here. I've been lurking on this site since Dec. 2009 when my friend gave me his 1999 GZ250. It had previously been sitting for a few years but I've gotten her working again with a good carb cleaning and new battery. Normally I ride my 250 Ninja but it's been nice working on another 250 and cleaning her up. Here she is below.

Hello there, & welcome.

From the picture, it looks like the first job will be adjusting the position of the brake pedal. For some strange reason, they ALL come with the brake pedal WAY out of spec, so you have to ride with your foot UNDER the pedal. There's a simple bolt under the pedal, so that you can adjust it so that your foot is above, & almost touching, the pedal when you're in a comfortable riding position. Then the brake itself will need adjusting at the back wheel, & the brake light at the switch under the bike. :2tup:

Enjoy the difference that will soon become apparent, to the ninja.
