I took my riding class this past weekend. 3 days of head splitting, body aching classes.
Loved the last day when things started to click. It was a hard class but I feel like I really know what I am doing.
Want to thank David and George From ABATE of Colorado. I am going to love riding the open road.

Congratulations !! :2tup:

The GZ is perfect for 2-LANE open roads; Interstates, not so much.

You WILL need a few THOUSAND miles on the bike and a lot more practice before you REALLY know what you are doing. :)

Congrats MissKim. Rider training is a good way to prevent a short lifespan. Went through the training myself 3 years ago after decades of riding on and off the streets. The bike is easier to ride now, more fun and less fear factor involved in slow manuevering. Now get out there and practice till the tank runs dry, fill up and repeat.

I thought this thread was about an entirely different subject.

But congratulations. I'm assuming you got your license or classification or whatever it is you need in your state. Always good to have one's proper credentials.

I'm curious about the head splitting and body aching. It sounds like quite a different class than the one I took. Mine was a fairly tame affair that never ventured out of the parking lot nor attained speeds greater than 15-20 mph. Except for one tricky figure eight maneuver it was mostly a snore. Did you fall off?
