Well I’ve had my GZ250 about three weeks now and have put a little over 250 miles on it. I ride to work every day that it’s not raining, but mostly enjoy the rides with my wife onboard; we’ve taken it to visit friends and relatives that are a few more miles away than my work. I find it does a nice job carrying our combined weights of about 350 lbs. but doesn’t grunt quite as much when I’m alone. We’re both trying to loose a few lbs. so that should help. Besides my hope is to get her trained and licensed so she can ride this and I’ll bump up to a Marauder or Intruder, but that will be a year or two down the road.

Anyhow the only complaint or more like fear she had was sliding of the back, and we also wanted somewhere to store gear or carry a small cooler for picnics and such. The cheapest sissy bar luggage rack combo I could find was around $250.

So here’s what I came up with for about $20 in steel and hardware.

Yes sir, I do all my own welding and fab work!
And you’re absolutely right Easy Rider the pad needs to be redone. As a matter of fact this winter I’ll most likely take the whole thing off this winter and to a much better job of the finish work (sand & Paint).
Ps. I apologize for the pic. size I’m not real good at this computer stuff!

You think it's too personal a question? :)

At least I didn't say "How big is your rack" and leave it at that. Regardless, I knew SOMEONE would make a comment.

I think it was great "straight line" but we have run off some ladies with less than that.....so I was treading lightly. There was another opportunity I passed up yesterday......but it looks like this one can take a little ribbing......and probably give it back too.

Seriously though, Jer250GZ - do you have dimensions for your BLCA (Backrest / Luggage Carrier Assembly)?
