Okay guys this morning I went tostart the bike and turned the key....and nothing no headlight no power whats so ever. I rode it Saturday and no problems. So I was thinking the brake light stayed on (which we all know can happen) and I just didn't notice it but wouldn't the headlight at least come on a be weak? The battery is brand new so I am sure its not the problem. Could it just be the fuse blew? or am I missing something else that it could be.

Welcome to the fourm.Sounds like a fuse to me,or a bad connection at the battery.

There's only one way to find out. Get a multimeter. Test across the battery terminals on "dc voltage". If thats o.k. check each fuse on "ohms" (resistance) - (sometimes a fuse can appear o.k. when it's actually blown).

Make sure the kill switch isn't on.

Kill switch will kill the ignition only,not the lights.

Ooops, my bad. Never had the prob. Just throwing things out there.

Disreguard last transmission. O_o

The battery is brand new so I am sure its not the problem.

The first thing to do is hook a charger to the battery and see what happens.
If it takes several hours to re-charge, then you probably can blame your fat fist on the key for leaving the light on. Be sure to leave the charger connected long enough for a FULL charge; using the battery when partially charged will shorten it's life. Was the battery fully charged when you first put it in ???

It could be the main fuse but "usually" when that goes you notice a pop or some other indication.

AND you can NOT completely rule out a bad battery; they sometimes fail when "new" too.

A multi-meter would be useful for helping to pin-point the problem.

your battery terminals should be nice and clean, if they are corroded badly that will often cause you to loose all power.

one other thing you might want to check is your ignition switch
