Out there in the sunshine and the wind, just me, my two wheels, the handlebars, the thrum of the motor, the smells of Spring. Yup, sure do love rototilling the garden!

Ditto here. The wind isn't even high right now.

I didn't even get it done. I quit when the wind died down. It keeps the black flies at bay. Without it they're unbearable.

The no-see-ums down here are as bad, if not worse, than those black flies. At least you can see those, and they don't swarm around you in the dozens. or sometimes even hundreds. It's amazing how something so tiny can give such a painful bite, and bug spray doesn't do squat to repel them away. So a little bit of wind is a good thing.

Actually they do swarm around us in the dozens, and at their worst in the hundreds. It's like walking in a cloud. And they give a very painful bite. I don't know about bug spray. If I have to be outside when they're at their worst I wear complete cover, including a net over my head. As you say, we wait for a breezy day to do yard work during black fly season.
We may be talking about the same bug, as they are quite small. We have a bug around here that we call no-see-ums, but they don't bite. They're so small they can come through the screens. They tend to fly around up by the ceilings and lights. They don't really do any harm, and they don't pay any attention to us outside.

Yup......I love being retired too.
Worked this morning. Got home in time to mow my 5 acres of "lawn" and then plant some grass seed.
Gotta work again tomorrow morning 'cause somebody called in sick. :skull:
I'm gonna get in a ride tomorrow afternoon BEFORE I start anything else......even a nap !!!
Now.....what was that last tag.........
