Got a question guys an dolls. Are the mirrors for an 03 the same as an 06 ?? I would like to put mirror extensions on Happy's bike for her but the manufacturer only has an 03 listed. Common sense tells me they should be the same but you may never know until it is too late. thanks in advance for any comments.
Metric mirrors are metric mirrors. on size fits all. 10mm thread.

Thanks Dupo.
Even if you decide to change mirrors to something completely different, they all fit. Even harley mirrors ... with an adapter off ebay.

BadBob, you just jogged my remembery about a couple DT 175's from 81 and 82. Right side mirror was a left hand thread so you could knock it loose in the bush and not break things. Also, Yamha in their wisdom decided the mirrors would not interchange. Different thread size just to make life interesting when ordering parts. The bikes normally came with just a left side mirror so I ordered two right side mirrors for one of the bikes. One fit, one did not fit.

Yep, forgot about those lefty yamaha's.

I bought a similar diameter galvanized rod and a metric die (to cut threads) and made mirror rods that are 2" longer than stock. Slide the rubbers away from the ends of the stock mirrors & you'll see how easy the stock ones are to replace. The stock mirror is ample sized & a good shape. They just need to move out. See photo below
Oh yeah, the rod & die set me back $12
