Does anyone know if the the muffler for a GN250 P/N 14305-38304H01S or for the TU250X P/N 14305-38361S would be a bolt on replacement or a good fit for a GZ250 2003?

Check the fiche at Ronayers.com and see if the part numbers match or if they are extremely close.

The TU250 has closed loop FI with a catalytic converter. Seems unlikely to me that the mufflers would be interchangeable.

IIRC, the muffler on my GZ was WELDED to the pipe.
That would seem to eliminate the "bolt on" possibility.

I was talking pre FI.

The new US spec TU has only one exhaust port in the head instead of two like the GeeZer.

I kind of doubt that Suzuki would make them the same, as I'm sure they would make the 125 version smaller to save the $$. I'm not even sure that the GN 250 or a real early GZ 250 rig would work as the GeeZer had a head rework for emissions in the early 2000's.

I'd just try for the right one (for a GZ 250) used if the $$ is an issue.

Check the Ron Ayers Fiche. http://fiche.ronayers.com/

Good Luck!

The gz125 has only one exhaust port, and thus only one down pipe. That's the way you can tell at first glance if it's a 125 or a 250.

Easy,..... yes, one down pipe (on the 250) is welded to the silencer, and the other bolts on.

If you need a muffler, here's the one I cut off of my 2005 GZ250 when I changed the exhaust. It's got some small scratches and it is not perfect and you'd have to weld it on to the exhaust pipe, but it is in good working condition. I'll send it to whoever wants it for the price of boxing it up and shipping it, probably around $15. It is just sitting on the shelf in my shop.

I've got a complete one sitting in my workshop. Just a few scratches. The bike shop guy gave it to me after swapping it after the accident. Trouble is, it'd probably cost more than a new one to ship it to America.

Thanks for the offer, but I live in Guatemala, central America. Shipping is expensive.
